- What is a prepaid card?
-
Simply put, you add funds to a prepaid card and then use it to make purchases — either online or in-store. With a True Link 529 Visa® Prepaid Card, you can:
Make purchases everywhere Visa is accepted
Add funds from your VT529 account and reload the card as needed
Have peace of mind that your funds are FDIC insured through Sunrise Banks, N.A.* — and all cards are covered by Visa's Zero Liability Policy†
With a True Link 529 Visa® Prepaid Card, you cannot:
Withdraw money from ATMs
Get cash back at stores
* True Link Financial, Inc. is a financial technology company and not a bank. Banking services are provided by Sunrise Banks N.A. Your funds are FDIC insured up to $250,000 through Sunrise Banks, N.A., Member FDIC.
† Visa’s Zero Liability Policy does not apply to certain commercial card and anonymous prepaid card transactions, or transactions not processed by Visa. Cardholders must use care in protecting their card and notify their issuing financial institution immediately of any unauthorized use. Contact True Link for more detail.
- How do I sign up for a prepaid card?
-
In just a few steps, you can sign up to receive a True Link Visa® Prepaid Card using your new VT529 account number (“77” followed by your previous account number). After you’ve registered, it takes about 6-8 business days to receive your card in the mail. For any subsequent cards, you may opt to pay for expedited shipping, which takes 2-4 business days. Once your card is activated, simply load it with funds from your VT529 account and you can start using it.
